The World Yacht Trophies awards night is the yachting world’s night of nights and a truly spectacular way to celebrate the reemergence of yachting now that 2020’s pandemic disaster is well and truly behind us.
With the world opening back up again and yachting owners keen to get back to doing what they love best, yachting, the awards night is seen as a perfect place to celebrate doing exactly that. It took place in Cannes on 11 September and was attended by 700 guests in total. In exciting news the Mangusta 104 REV won Best Exterior Design in their category, with their sleek and beautiful super yacht, but they weren’t the only ones having a great night. Here we look at some of the biggest winners.
- Ferretti Group was awarded with four different prizes that included Best Layout in the 19.5-24 meters category in the 13,70-19,50 meters category for Custom Line Navetta 30 and Ferretti Yachts 1000. Best Exterior Design for Pershing 6X and Most Avant-Guarde in the 24-30 meters category for Wally WHY200.
- The wildly popular asymmetrical models of Sanlorenzo took out a double victory with prizes in Best Layout and Best Innovation by the international jury during the award ceremony.
- The Azimut Benetti Group were definite winners and grinners with a total of 6 awards across Azimut 53 Fly for Best Interior Design, Azimut 68 Fly for Best Layout, Magellano 66 for Best Interior Design, Azimut Grande Trideck for Best Interior Design, Motopanfilo 37M for Best Innovation and, finally, Zazou for Best Layout all in their separate categories.
- The Overmarine Mangusta 104 REV took out the category of Best Exterior Design in yachts from 29-50 meters. And with it’s stylish look, sporty mechanisms and classic exterior it’s not hard to see why.
